I have decided to create multiple moodboard for my project to be able to produce ideas in a creative way. I will be creating a moodboard for the following elements: marketing and promotion, the image of Ska music and equipment. I hope by doing this that it will help me to solidify ideas and research within my project. I will be using Canva to be able to create these moodboards, as I am familiar with how it works and it always helps me to produce the products that I want.
Imagery used within Ska
Creating a mood board based on the imagery generally used within the genre will help me with the overall imagery of my promotional material. I based this mood board based on the imagery research that I had created.
Moodboards for My Project
Marketing and Promotion:
The first moodboard I have created is aimed at elements that I could use within the creation of the promotional material. I have done this to help me with creative elements within promotion. I have included some images that are copyright-free that I can use within my poster.
The second moodboard I have created is centred around how I can market my product and what I will be marketing. This moodboard is to help me solidify my marketing ideas within my marketing scheme.
Equipment:
By creating a moodboard based on the equipment that I may be using I have solidified my research into live sound equipment and given myself a way to remember what equipment I need by creating a ‘visual list’.
Conclusion
In conclusion, creating the various moodboards has helped to solidify my ideas and concepts within different research elements into a more practical elements.
Using the imagery, marketing and promotion mood-boards, I will be able to think of some design ideas to be able to help me to create some promotional material. I will use the images and theme above to be able to create a selection of promotional materials to get feedback on.
Creating an equipment mood board has helped me to visualize and think of the equipment that I need. This has also helped me to understand how the elements interrelate and work with each other.
